Andreja Kulunčić, one of the most prominent Croatian artists active on the international scene, developed her own specific research work methodology in the domain of visual arts by focusing on the neuralgic points of different societies and their pressing issues. Her works involve the processes of collaboration and creative interdisciplinary networking of professionals from different fields of expertise (sociologists, philosophers, scientists, designers, and marketing developers). The works often demand active participation from audience which is invited to “finish the work”.

Vesna Pavlović is present on the Belgrade photography and art scene since the beginning of 1990s, at first in collaboration with the Škart collective, and afterwards independently, gradually developing her own distinctive, partial, engaged and empathic approach to photography. From 2006, Vesna Pavlović lives in US, where she had her MFA degree in Visual arts from the Columbia University in New York, and then went on to became the Professor of Photography and Digital Media at the Vanderbilt University in Nashville. At that point, her artistic practice enters a new stage and the present solo exhibition at the Salon of MoCA is the first opportunity for the Belgrade audience to see her latest works.

We continue the presentation of the various thematic currents within Dobrović’s painting with the exhibition of his landscape paintings which are classified into four periods, each distinctive for its approach to the landscape. The Exhibition “Secret Life of the Belgrade Periphery. Films and Photographs 1973-2012” is a thematic retrospective that presents Ljubomir Simunic’s selected experimental eight millimeter films, polaroids and black and white photographs that are, by their theme or content, oriented towards eroticism.
